It would be anything out of the ordinary or familiar. New books, new records, new experiences, countries and cultures never visited before. New projects… be it music or arts, writing or making something.
Passion would be the dynamism of our soul, seeking somewhat to appease the unfamiliar venture before us, it ignites us and gives us momentum. It is the feeling of a new relationship, and then, when it is all processed many seek or long for a new romance, or tire just accepting it in the mundane familiarity it has become.
We are not interested in new relationships just addicted to the pursuit of unfamiliar territory- passion.
Everything needs to be adjusted, new horizons sought, something to keep the dynamism going in a dwindling relationship or goal, hobby or pursuit, or else we fall into the trap of the familiar drudgery. Routine that eventually becomes automatic such that the mind begins to shut down as it no longer needs to assess the permutations of the events happening, its seen it all, it doesn’t need to cognize or evaluate. We become bored and blame the person we are with, or the job we are in, or the pursuits we once adored.
The child mind continually is bombarded with new experiences, and thus, it is perpetual Christmas, as adults, we tread the same path daily and long for the old days, for the younger self, when in fact the only difference is our acceptance and slavery to routine.
What you accept is what you deserve, and as every good anarchist knows, Demand The Impossible.
I am passionate about all that I am not.

Wot’s this all about then Guv’nor ?;-
The Random musings of a nobody. “Dagenham Dave”, is slang for someone one stop short of Barking (mad), though more contemporarily refers to any wayfaring and carefree person. Dagenham is a town to the eastern side of London (Luds Dominium) that was first recorded in a Barking charter in 666a.d. as the town of Daeccanham. Daecca is an ancient man’s name meaning ‘bright’ or ‘famous’ . Ham is short for Hamlet.
Dave is short for David, Hebrew for ‘Beloved’, My Surname ‘Wenborn’ derives from old English meaning of the Winding Stream.

1/ Book Reviews.
They’re not reviews as such- to recommend or asway, I neither seek to promote nor condemn, more my personal reflections on the books I read. In that respect it’s a subjective thing.
2/ Short Stories and Tales
Short stories borne from imagination, dreams, thoughts and wanderings. Too large to be written in my journal of shadows.
3/ Full Books
Books that were once published elsewhere, I have full copyright on these, and of course given here freely.
4/ Magazines and Articles
Small snippets and articles that may or may not have appeared elsewhere, and information not included in Journal of shadows.

A small selection of poetry. Like song, I create as a means to an artistic diary.
