The Western Gate

It would be as follows. there would be three circles, The inner circle would comprise of business, commercial and administration. The outer circle would comprise of shopping, leisure. The outermost circle, residential. The circles would be divided by canals. Trees would be planted everywhere to provide a canopy. At the centre of the City would be a deep well lake. Heat would be provided by Huge deep bore thermal pumps. Cooling provided by Submerged ~ immersion coils.
All transport would be free, paid for by business and commerce.
Streets on each ‘quarter’ would be provided with arcade style complexes where people can sell off old items, it would be like car-boot sales in shopping malls. There would also be incorporated recycling centres in these facilities together with training facilities.
In residential areas, Solar panels and at the extremities of the city, wind generators would provide energy. There would also be a Methane generator located by the main sewage centre located away from the city.
All utilities would be owned by the city in perpetuity.
Fruit tress would make up at least 25% of all trees in the city.
Schools and Colleges would be located in the centre of each residential quarter. The emphasis of teaching on social skills and practical appreciation /hands-on of technical skills and also creative expression.
There would be One interfaith domain, this would also house humanist and reflective philosophical teaching schools.
Community centres would be provided as per quota of the residential stock, this would provide public houses, respite, library, computer centre and social help and would be located, nested together in one dedicated area per quota of residential housing stock.

Addendum:- Further away from the city would be allotments, every citizen would be allowed enough to grow their own food or indeed just to use the allocated land for ornamental flowers. Huge meadows and bee colonies would act as breaks between each allotment sector. It will be forbidden for each household to sell their alloted land to one enterprise or corporation intent on combining the whole land strips, owned by each person.
In residential areas, it will not be allowed to pave over gardens.
