Eclectic.
My first love was early 70’s glam rock, the Sweet, t-Rex, Slade, Suzi Quatro. Oh and Bay City Rollers.
I was then immersed into the anger and vitriol of Punk, The Sex Pistols, the Clash and The Damned, and at a push, yes I suppose that was the genre that moulded me in my formative years, that made me question.
From there I immersed myself into all sorts of genres, everything, from Heavy Rock to Classical, Reggae to Prog, Folk to Electronic.
I can go into a record shop, yes I still buy vinyl, I don’t collect, I purchase to listen and absorb, and I will “Crate Dig” every section, every genre.
To answer what is your favourite, is like saying, what is your best artwork style, how can you compare different styles? You can have your favourite food, but you can’t eat it every day, all the time?
Contemporary music, modern or whatnot, my favourite artists range from Goat to Lana Del Rey, OLafur Arnalds to Amyl and the Sniffers etc.
My favourite genre of music is Eclectic. None above another.
