It is not the one who measures life by the amount of zeros in their bank balance, the opulence of their cars or the array of shoes, collected on maid cleaned shoe racks…and there are far too many to wear. It is not the measure of subordinates below them nor the size of their house which satisfies nothing but the ego they reflect.
People are only succinctly and vainly remembered by their fame and fortune, but those who wear the badge of success have only just to ‘be there’, by the smiles they create and the warmth and peace instilled in others without expectation or favour. The charity they give and not by some guilt or measure of the wealth they have, a ratio of the bank balance to satisfy some warped sense of retribution, but by seeing their help change the life and harmony of others.
People are successful not by what they do or the image they have created of themselves, but how they are missed when they are not there.
Who are they, who is it? you can probably count them on the fingers of one foot and the toes of one hand.
