The Western Gate

Toing and Froing, Up 'n' Down in the Earth

Sonnets (after) Liber Pennae Praenumbra

1/

Inscribed in Akasha-Echo, words proclaimed,
By Mother of the Sun, breathes nectar’s grace.
Through Counterweight of Heart, creations named,
And destroyed, in breath’s dance, time and space.

2/

Illusions of nine gates, Mime-dancer’s play,
Weft and web, shimmering ‘midst fire-dark skies.
Black Flame, the two that are nothing, they say,
Manifesting more as less does arise.

3/

Speak to us, children of the time-to-come,
Declare thy will, grant love from realms above.
She That Moves, her voice resonates as drum,
Nourishing the Shining One with her love.

4/

Land of Milk and honey, bestowed with care,
By Divine Gynander, dew as sweet as dawn.
The pleasure lies in the Whole, a truth rare,
Exceeding mere Parts, in Working we spawn.

5/

Lord of Parts, ruler of his domain,
Birds and Beasts follow, their nature aligned.
Sun’s land welcomes Children, not in vain,
Flowing with Eternal Child, we’re entwined.

6/

A Voice echoes through Crystal’s hallowed space,
Time’s course awry, the Hawk’s flight incomplete
She smiles, Night’s beauty upon her face,
His pinions spread, showering golden heat.

7/

Pylons of ages, unshaken they stand,
Day of the Hawk still dawning, yet to soar.
The Vision not failed, Truth prevails, so grand,
She laughs in triple veil, confusion’s core.

8/

Unconfined, none can bar her path, she claims,
Time’s serving-maid, Space the Temple’s guide.
Silent knowing, her essence we proclaims,
Aiding Lovers of Hawk, she stands beside.

9/

Flight’s Word unfolds, falter not, lest ye fall,
Greatness lies in the Gods’ eternal quest
Beloved of Heru, heed the Feather’s call,
Venture forth, gain strength on wings abreast.

10/

Teachers and friends, Swan, Heron, Owl, and more,
Hawk’s virtues granted, secrets to unfold.
Eagle, Ibis, reveal the mystic lore,
Kings and Hermits in flight, their tales untold.

11/

Priests hold the Keys, hidden close to their hearts,
Black Flame dwindles, quill pen poised with intent.
The Word is written, its meaning imparts,
Final Understanding, a testament.

Wot’s this all about then Guv’nor ?;-
The Random musings of a nobody. “Dagenham Dave”, is slang for someone one stop short of Barking (mad), though more contemporarily refers to any wayfaring and carefree person. Dagenham is a town to the eastern side of London (Luds Dominium) that was first recorded in a Barking charter in 666a.d. as the town of Daeccanham. Daecca is an ancient man’s name meaning ‘bright’ or ‘famous’ . Ham is short for Hamlet.
Dave is short for David, Hebrew for ‘Beloved’, My Surname ‘Wenborn’ derives from old English meaning of the Winding Stream.
